This camp is for ages 13-17 with intermediate skills in vocals, drums, keys, guitar, or bass, and an interest in songwriting and performance. Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs! Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. This summer camp is specially designed for teen kids who have little prior musical experience. The detailed schedule is provided above, categorized based on the camp type, such as morning, afternoon, full-day, or custom camp. - The drop-off and pick-up windows are fifteen minutes before and after the class schedule. - On the last day of camp (Friday), family and friends are invited to the mini show at the school to watch the campers’ performances. Further details will follow. WHAT TO EXPECT - Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. - At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
