Coastal Foraging Hike

Fri, Jun 19 · 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM · Tinker’s Point Path

Event lead at Tinker’s Point Path.

Walk along the East Coast Trail from the Tinker’s Point trailhead on a scenic ~4 km stretch where forest meets sea. While you’re out on the trail, your guide shares a gentle introduction to foraging in Newfoundland, including edible plants and traditional foodways.

Partway through, there’s a warm mug-up outdoors: a foraged tea and a seasonal wild bite, along with a small ceremony at the edge of the coast.

Good to know: the trail follows the coast with easy, undulating terrain, and they note that a moderate amount of hiking on uneven ground (~4 km over 2–3 hours) is involved. The experience goes ahead in most conditions, with rescheduling or a full refund if unsafe weather makes the trail unsafe.
