Join Artist in Residence Jessica Brouder for a creative workshop where you will learn the versatile skill of cordage making. Discover how to create cordage from readily available plants, used textiles, paper, and plastic. You will also learn to construct a looped net basket, exploring how these handmade elements can be integrated into your own artistic practices.
This workshop is an introduction to exciting and useful techniques. Participants are encouraged to bring their own washed and dried plastics, and suitable used textiles like shirts or bedsheets, along with scissors and a sketchbook.
