Flag Raising Ceremony

This ceremony officially begins the St. John's Pride Festival. It's an annual event that honours the work done to bring the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and the festival to the forefront of the city. Local leaders, community members, and allies will gather to raise the Pride flag, symbolizing unity, visibility, and solidarity. The event will feature brief remarks, an opening ceremony, and a performance by the Spectrum Queer Choir. St. John's Pride aims to provide advocacy through education and visibility events, products, and resources.
