Sound Symposium returns for its XXII iteration, offering a week-long celebration of experimental sound art. Artists from around the world and locally will present cutting-edge electronic music, folk traditions, and premieres of contemporary classical works.
The festival includes a wide array of artistic expressions, such as the unique Harbour Symphony, gallery exhibits, film screenings, installations, and improvisational performances spanning music and dance. It's a dynamic environment where participants and audiences can connect, collaborate, and inspire one another.
Beyond the performances, attendees can engage with workshops, discover late-night jam sessions, and experience spontaneous creative happenings throughout St. John's. The Symposium aims to push artistic boundaries and foster a vibrant community of sound artists.
