Enjoy performances by local outstanding musicians as they fill The Rooms with music and songs from our province’s rich musical history. Be prepared to sing along, tap your toes or just sit back and delight in the moment. This is a free, drop-in program.This spotlight's performer is Rowan Sherlock. Rowan Sherlock originally hails from Waterford, Ireland, and moved to Newfoundland in 2017 after touring the province with a band from Ireland aptly named ‘Newfoundland’. Now a Canadian citizen, Rowan is a full-time music teacher and gigging musician, playing mandolin, piano and fiddle for the acclaimed ‘The Irish Descendants’ as well as fiddle for ‘Rugged Shores’.Rowan has a BA in Music Composition and Classical Violin performance and completed his Masters Degree in Music Composition from Ireland.Rowan has toured the world extensively with many orchestras and groups, before making Newfoundland his home, residing in Conception Bay South.
