Youngtree & Carole Bee Live @ Theatre Hill
Sat, Jun 27 · 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM · The Majestic Theatre · St. John’s, NL
An intimate afternoon of folk favourites, original songs, and heartfelt harmonies with Newfoundland duo Youngtree & Carole Bee before their Ontario summer tour.
Two bright stars of Newfoundland’s music scene, Peter Youngtree and Carole Bestvater have been playing music together since 2015, developing a close musical and creative partnership through their original touring band Youngtree & The Blooms. As a duo, they have one rule: “Only play music we love.” This means an eclectic mix of traditional and modern folk music, well-crafted original songs and instrumentals, and a joyous, intimate energy shared with audiences. The duo has performed to crowds of five and five thousand while touring in Atlantic Canada and Ontario, including performances at Mariposa Folk Festival, Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, and Folk Alliance International. Youngtree & Carole Bee have become a regionally sought-after act for their exuberant energy, musical skill, and onstage chemistry. Their first EP, An Introduction (2025), was recorded primarily using a single antique RCA microphone and a Studer tape machine. They perform at Theatre Hill on June 27th as a send-off for their Ontario summer tour.
