Camp Funshine is the Town of Pasadena Recreation Department summer camp at Pasadena Place for K-6 students who have completed Kindergarten. The program is based on Canada's HIGH FIVE quality standard for children's recreation and sport, with an emphasis on physical activity, supervision, safety, and First Aid.

Toys and electronic devices are not permitted. Nut products are not permitted. Session theme: Music & Friends: Campers make instruments, sing, dance, play games, and take part in a talent show.

Camp is open to K-6 students who have completed Kindergarten. The policy PDF lists ages 5 to 12 years, currently attending Kindergarten to Grade 6.

Children should be fully toilet trained and able to independently wash their hands and feed themselves.

Families complete both official forms and return them to [email protected], then call 709-686-2075 ext. 301 to pay and complete registration.

Payment can also be made in person at the front desk by cash or card. A payment plan is available on request. The policy PDF says a non-refundable $25 deposit for each week plus an extra $100 retainer fee is required at registration, and balances are due the week before attendance when attending more than one camp. The policy PDF says absolutely no refunds without two weeks' notice, payment is required for missed days without two weeks' written notice, and the $100 retainer fee will be applied to short-notice cancellations; otherwise the retainer is applied to the last camp registered.

The policy PDF says the program focuses on physical literacy, supervision, safety, and First Aid. It includes illness rules, medication/allergy instructions, nut-free rules, sunscreen procedures, a behavior code, waiver, and authorization-to-release pickup form. Prescription medication must be in its original container with physician instructions; over-the-counter medication is not administered.
