Echo Pond Summer Camp is an overnight environmental education camp in the boreal forest of the Avalon Peninsula. Campers explore local ecology and sustainable living, build confidence, and take part in swimming, canoeing, hiking, campfires, music, storytelling, games, shelter-building, orienteering, and arts and crafts.

It does say staff are attentive to individual children and that children may choose different activities when they are not comfortable participating. Echo Pond publishes a 1:6 staff-to-child ratio. Staff receive training before camp, have First Aid/CPR certification and Vulnerable Sector Checks, and the kitchen treats allergies seriously. The FAQ says camp is 1.5 hours from the Janeway and parents are encouraged to send multiple EpiPens when needed. The pond swim area is roped off and life jackets are available.
